Rhynie Emergency Hub
The project to obtain a generator to allow the operation of an emergency hub in the event of a power outage has been completed. The generator is stored at a secure location and will be mobilised if required.
The Hub will provide a safe location in the event of an extended power outage where heating and power supply can be provided to residents when the usual electricity supply is cut off. Should it be necessary, the generator will be moved from secure storage to the Square and connected to No.14.
Heating, lighting and cooking facilities will be available. Charging facilities for mobile devices would also be available.
